My son’s farm welcomed a new cria (baby alpaca) on Sunday. I don’t have her name yet but she is a fawn colored cutie. Her mom is behind her making sure she is safe. I believe there are 2 more cria due within a month.
The next picture is a throw my son designed and knit on his electronic flatbed knitting machine. He is sure enjoying doing the machine knitting. He is even teaching classes now on the flatbed knitting machine.
I live in the midwest and once in a while my grocery store will carry Hatch green chilies (from Hatch, New Mexico). They are some of the warmest (hottest) regular green chilies you can buy. I’m not much of a fan of hot foods but I bought a few of the Hatch chilies because they remind me of my youth, when I lived out west. I’ve toasted them in the oven to remove the skin and have frozen them, they will go to my daughter, who likes hot chilies.
Sometime next week I will post an update on the baby blanket I’m knitting. The children will be in school again soon, hope they are as excited as their parents :P. Everyone take care.
How wonderful to get to enjoy a farm (while not having to do all the daily chores. 🙂 ) I too can’t eat hot foods which drives my hubby nuts as he loves very hot foods. So he makes “bland” food and spices his up with siracha sauce.

My ex loved the Hatch green chilies, but they are way to warm for me!! Everything I eat is mild or it’s a no go :P.
