“Lift up your head and be of good cheer; for behold, the time is at hand, and on this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world, to show unto the world that I will fulfil all that which I have caused to be spoken by the mouth of my holy prophets” 3 Nephi 1:13
May you all have a blessed and wonderful Christmas, and may the peace of this season be with you through out the New Year.
This is a two by two ribbed hat I just finished. This is for a little family member :). It looks purple but it is a bright blue, not sure why I am not able to capture colors properly sometimes, sigh. I just can’t seem to quit knitting hats, this one is a relaxing knit. I would tell you where to find this pattern, but I copied it to a word document and the name doesn’t come up in a google search. 😦 But there are plenty of patterns just like this one on the internet :).
I have one more hat to knit before Christmas, I’ll post a picture of it after Christmas :P. I have just been so driven to knit lately, good thing tho, it’s relaxing and creative all at the same time, and who can’t use relaxing and creative at Christmas time :).
I finished another large bag this morning. I love cardinals, they are beautiful and have a very distinctive song. They add much needed color to a very otherwise dreary winter scene. When I saw this fabric I knew I had to make a bag, I have enough fabric to make another one for myself as this one is in my shop.
I also finished the hat that goes with the sweater I am knitting for Maddie. It’s cute, hope she’s not getting to old to enjoy the colors I had chosen last year.
I have made a couple of these larger knot bags but had given them to some special friends.
This one I can put in my shop :). You can not see the sparkle on the fabric on the green boughs but it is stunningly beautiful. Looks like snow, I really wanted to keep this one for myself, but I have enough left to make a medium bag for me :). This one is large enough for sweaters and shawls for knitters.
Sometimes when you are really busy doing for family, as the mom you wonder if your children really appreciate all you do for them. I’m not saying that my children don’t appreciate the things I do, just as a mom you sometimes wonder because they are so busy with their own lives. Well, my daughter showed me just how much she appreciated all I am doing for her with a beautiful yellow Orchid, just because. It is so pretty, she even remembered my favorite color for flowers is yellow. How’s that for remembering :).
Well “The boys” finally won a game last night against an old rival, the Redskins. Was an exciting game even though I had taken an antihistamine and fell asleep before the end, so I found out this morning that they won. Hehe, I don’t generally fall asleep during a football game, but it happens :).
