My Daisy Rectangular Shawl has been Reworked for Errors

My Shawl pattern fixed

I reworked my Daisy Rectangular Shawl to fix an error I had made in the design.  It’s working out for me but since I don’t have a tech editor, I hope I have fixed it 😛  I have updated the pattern on that page.  I have only done one repeat of the 24 row pattern and this is not blocked, so the lace is … well you know how lace is before it’s blocked :P.  Another lady who knit this pattern used stitch markers between the repeats because she said it drove her crazy until she did,  but marking the repeats messed me up, guess I’m a little strange, I have no problem counting stitches between repeats and reading my work,  You use whatever works for you :).

I’ll have updates on my progress, as I have to have this done by Oct.  Hope you enjoy the pattern if you have a mind to knit it. 🙂

New Stitch Markers and Progress Keepers

I was bad and ordered more stitch markers and progress keepers.  Pretty soon I will have to join Stitch Marker/Progress Keeper’s anonymous, apparently it’s an addiction :P.  AdoreKnit put more Mandalorian markers and keepers in her shop and they are really cute!  Another baby Yoda and if you have seen the series you know he eats a frog, so my collection wouldn’t be complete without the frog :).  She sent me an extra progress keeper, a Mythosaur, which is an extinct animal (it was apparently fierce) that the Mandalorians used to ride.  It is a great progress keeper!

My second purchase was a piece of chocolate cake progress keeper and oh my it is so realistic! CharmingMinis progress keepers/charms are handcrafted from polymer clay and she does an amazing job.  I told her I would probably regret getting the chocolate cake because every time I use it I would want to eat some :P.   She also gave me an extra gift, the brownie, which is also well crafted, how can you not like chocolate?  I enjoy the stitch marker she ties on the box, the crown, because as you can see it’s part of her company name (it dots the first i in her company name.) 🙂  You should see her art work on YouTube, be sure and check them all out, her art work is also amazing!

Guess I should step up my knitting since one project has a deadline, the wedding shawl, and I need more projects to use these new markers and keepers on :).  Think I’ll go have some chocolate cake 😛

Happy Independence Day America!

July 4th

Happy Birthday, ie: Independence Day to the country that I love, the United States of America.  Long may our Flag wave!

We celebrate on the 4th but the Declaration of Independence was actually signed on the 2nd and published on the 4th.

Red, White & Blue Mini Skein and Bookmark.

I bought a cute patriotic mini skein of yarn to test out for a bookmark.  I bought this from Awenydd Yarn & Fiber on Etsy.  This is how the bookmark worked out, I think it turned out cute.  Independence Day is coming soon!!  Tho’ my understanding is that it was actually signed on July 2, 1776 and published on the 4th.  So, we could celebrate Independence day twice!

I have been awful about spinning during this year’s Tour de Fleece during the Tour de France competition.  I will spin but starting from way behind, hahaha.  I will be better prepared next year, it’s the thought that counts, right?  uh hu (the little ones in my family hate when I do the uh hu thing, cos they know I’m calling out their “miss statements”.) 🙂
