I took this from my balcony when I got home from work tonight. It’s not a lot of snow yet, but it started between 1 to 2 pm. I left early, at 4, to try to beat the traffic and the roads were a nightmare! What usually takes me about 15 min to drive took 40 min. It was slick, and people have forgotten over the summer how to drive in the snow and were trying to take off like normal from a stop at the lights, yep, slipping and sliding. It won’t take them long to remember, just hope they don’t cause an accident in the mean time ;P. There is a blizzard warning out from midnight through midnight Thursday, with winds up to 50 to 60 mph and up to -20 temps. Possible whiteout conditions. Winter is definately here.
I’ll take another picture in the morning and if they tell us not to some into work because of the roads, or delay coming in I’ll try to put the updated picture in here along with the one above.
**Updated Picture**
I took this at about 7am. The winds have picked up so we will have blizzard conditions today with the blowing snow, and they say from 1 to 3 additional inches of snow this morning. The last time I saw a Blizzard here was around 1993, and they closed the Mall, that I worked at, for the day. The place I’m working at has decided on a delayed opening and so I think I will take the bus today and not drive. It’s official we got 12″ of snow over those two days.
Luckily so far we haven’t gotten the snow that they were forecasting. The roads won’t be so terrible tomorrow in town, but out in the country, aka where J lives, they will be drifted over. 😦

Well, that snow finally came while we slept. I think we got slightly over 10 inches and it was heavy wet snow. The snow blower didn’t like it and it took me 1.5 hours to remove the snow from the drive. yucky.

Hope all is okay there. We had a little snow here, but it is gone now. Winter hasn’t yet hit here.
