In Memory

In Memory

As we remember the 13th year since this heinous attack was perpetrated, may we take a moment to remember all those who died on this day 13 years ago and thank those who helped in the aftermath. I would like to salute those heroes on flight 93, and all those who, on that day, willingly and unselfishly sacrificed their lives to save the lives of others. I also salute those in our armed services who have given their lives and those who continue to fight, selflessly putting their own lives in jeopardy to protect us and others from terrorism. They are all heroes to me and I will never forget.

Veterans Day

Veteran's Day

For our Veterans

Afganistan isn’t on this old picture, but please note that those veterans are certainly included!  I would like to take a moment to thank all those veterans who fought in the various wars and “police actions” for our freedom.   Thank you for your service, and thank you to your families for allowing you to do that.

*Rant warning, if you might be offended, please do not read*

Patriotism seems to be dwindling among people in this country and I find it very sad that the pledge of allegiance isn’t said in many schools and some people don’t pay any respect to the flag when the pledge is said – what happened to respect?  Why are our local governments opposed to showing patriotism (because it might offend someone?)?  And many do not even know the national anthem.  We should be proud of our Country, it allows us freedom to choose, freedom of religon, freedom to speak our minds and many other things.  It does not guarentee us the previlege to be rich, only the freedom to pursue that, if that is what we want.  It does not guarentee that we will not be offended – only that we have the right to voice our opinion.   We are not all the same, some are smarter, some are braver, some are more sensitive, some are more pragmatic , some are more creative, but we all have something to contribute to making this country great.  It would be very boring indeed if we were all the same, please note I’m not talking diversity in the way our goverment does, because we need to pull together instead of all the divisive attitudes we have today, if we don’t we will continue to be country in conflict and there is a scripture that says “….Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth” St Luke 11:17.  There is much truth in that, even if you are not religious.  If you don’t like this country, I urge you to find one that suits you so you can be happy, please DO NOT change mine, I like it the way it is.

Remembering 9/11

In Memory of 9/11

This picture is on the side of a tractor trailer truck that has made it’s rounds around the United States. Although the master mind behind the attacks was eliminated last year from participating in any more aggressive acts against our country, there are those whom he lead who still want to hurt us, may we never forget this horrendous act of aggression on our soil so that we might always be free.

As we remember the 11th year since this heinous attack was perpetrated, may we take a moment to remember all those who died on this day 11 years ago and thank those who helped in the aftermath. I would like to salute those heroes on flight 93, and all those who, on that day, willingly and unselfishly sacrificed their lives to save the lives of others. 4th of July – Happy Independance Day!!!

Happy Birthday to my country!!!!!  May we remember why the our founding fathers came here and may we always work hard to keep her free.

I encourage you to check out this movie called Monumental.  I watched it on INSP on cable couple of days ago (the website said it was in the theaters and on TV mid year) and was very impressed, every thing was documented and it was well thought out.  It reminds us  of what this country was founded on and why.

Memorial Day 2012

Memorial 2012

For those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom!

I want to thank all those who are now serving or have served, in any of the branches of the Armed Services, for your love of freedom and for being willing to serve your country.  I give a special reverence to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, for what they loved, a free and safe country.  May we honor them in all we do and may we always keep this country free and safe.

Happy Birthday USA!

.I love my country and couldn’t let my country’s birthday pass by without saying “long may my country live and long may her flag fly”.  The freedom, this country affords anyone who is here legally and who is honest, is beyond what many in the world experience.  For those who don’t agree, this freedom affords you the right to speak your mind and disagree – try that in a country without the constitution and/or who has a dictator as a leader and see how much freedom you are afforded there.  HAPPY BIRTDAY USA!!!

I love this video of Red Skelton – one of my favorite old time entertainers.

Memorial Day – Thank You

Memorial Day

THANK YOU to all those who now serve our great and blessed country.

THANK YOU to all those who love this country and served in the past.

And to those who served with pride and honor and lost their lives, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR GREAT SACRIFICE IN OUR BEHALF OR IN BEHALF OF OTHERS WHO SOUGHT FREEDOM.                 (John 15:13)

4th of July

Let Freedom Ring!!

Let Freedom Ring!!

Happy Independence Day America – Let Freedom Ring!!!

Please make your voices heard and count with your congressmen to keep the government from changing and distroying our precious Constitution that was written to keep us from being enslaved to a government, thus losing the precious freedom the founding fathers fought for and many died to put in place.  If our congressmen are not hearing us and we have little voice in the government, then those that we elect are not serving us, but we are serving them.

Happy TEA Party Day

My son has his web hosting site up and running and I’m switching over so this is my first post on his hosting site.  He’s decided to go with Word Press for the blogging part.  It’s a lot different than what I was use to at Yahoo, but I’m learning it.  If you are interested in changing hosting servers, you can contact my son, I have a link to his website in my blog roll.  I like the fact that if I have any problems, I don’t have to be connected to an out of the country service rep (that has a hard time with American slang or phrasing), I can just go over to his house and yell at him :P.  JUST KIDDING SON!!!

My unpacking is coming along and I’m just waiting for the back ground check to come in, should be today or tomorrow, so that I can start working at the bank.  Hopefully this position will turn out to be a temp to hire job and not just a long term temp job, because it pays well and I enjoyed working with the mortgage title company, this will be a bit different but I’m excited about it anyway :).

Oh yeah, happy TEA Party Day!!!  TEA = Taxed Enough Already!
