Hope you all have a very Happy New Year and enjoy peace and health!
I hope everyone enjoys a nice Thanksgiving with family or friends. Even if you spend Thanksgiving alone this year, I hope it is good one. I will be spending mine alone this year as well, but I still feel blessed and have a lot to be thankful for, my health, a warm place to live, clothes to wear, food on my table, family and friends, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a testimony of His divinity, knowing that He loves everyone of us regardless of our situations, knowing we are never really alone because He is there, and knowing that all He wants is for us to repent as often as we need and to not give up trying to get it right and to follow him. Please keep those in your prayers who do not have a place to live and less than the basics this winter. I challenge you to make a list of those things you have that you are thankful for and and try to add one more thing each day that you have thought of for the next 5 days and see if you can see more than you thought you had. You might also, if you have the means, make a small donation of money or clothing items to your local homeless shelter, or donate time to a local soup kitchen to help feed those who have less than you for whatever reason. Gratitude is always an uplift, especially in hard times.
I was going to wish everyone a Happy New Year, but maybe I should wish us a Better New Year. This last year was a crazy and rather unpleasant one!!! Hope you all have a better New Year.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will to men.
15 And it came to pass, the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. (St. Luke 2:8-16)
May you and your families have a very blessed Christmas Day.

Hope everyone is having a Happy Thanksgiving Day. My thoughts and prayers are going out to those who, because of this very unusual and difficult year, can’t be with their family and friends on this day. My hope is that sometime next year we will be able to enjoy each others company again without the physical distancing.
Things that can help bring us happiness are remembering to give thanks for those things you have, because there are others who have less. Serving others as your abilities and circumstances allow, a donation (money or good used clothing) to a homeless shelter, helping a neighbor shovel the snow from their walk, uplifting service can be something as simple as a smile, a kind word or compliment. It helps us to be more grateful for all the Lord has blessed us with as we serve each other.
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if you have love one to another.”

Happy Birthday, ie: Independence Day to the country that I love, the United States of America. Long may our Flag wave!
We celebrate on the 4th but the Declaration of Independence was actually signed on the 2nd and published on the 4th.
Hope you all have a very Happy New Year and enjoy peace and health!
From the Book of Mormon on Christmas Eve day
“And it came to pass that he cried mightily unto the Lord all that day; and behold, the voice of the Lord came unto him, saying:
Lift up your head and be of good cheer; for behold, the time is at hand, and on this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world, to show unto the world that I will fulfill all that which I have caused to be spoken by the mouth of my holy prophets” 3 Nephi 1:12-13
May you all have a blessed and wonderful Christmas, and may the peace of this season be with you through out the New Year.

Hope everyone is having a Happy Thanksgiving Day. My thoughts and prayers are going out to those who suffered devastating losses in the California fires :(, and all those who had no family to celebrate with. My heart is breaking for them.
I may not have much according to the world, but I have enough. I have my faith, my family, a warm place to live, food on my table and clothes on my back. I even have some things that I wanted, a spinning wheel (that was given to me – could not afford to buy one), my knitting needles, some yarn to knit and fiber to spin, a computer (a gift from my dad). I have an older car that allows me to get around in town and a working sewing machine I’ve had for about 20 years, that allows me to do some sewing (repairs and gifts). I can not complain because there are others who have less. I’m grateful for the things the Lord has provided for me. I wasn’t always grateful because I saw the things others had, but as I saw the lack and needs of others who had less than I did, I began thanking our Father in Heaven for those things I had neglected to recognize as blessings in my life. It has given me a sense of peace and comfort to see and recognize all the Lord has blessed me with. I hope you find things to be grateful for too even tho there is so much strife and drama in the world, there are things in our lives that are blessings and tender mercies. Sharing what we have is a blessing to others, not only lifting them but us as well. I hope we can all find ways to bless others’ lives.
