Happy Thanksgiving Day 2025!!

Remembering to be thankful everyday for the things we have brings peace into our lives, and as we express thanks to Our Father in Heaven, He helps us see other things He has blessed us with, things we didn’t notice. When I was young I complained because of the things I didn’t have, but I took a challenge to remember to thank my Father in Heaven every night when I said my prayers before bed, for the things I had. As I did this, I began to appreciate the things I had and as time went on that list grew as He showed me other blessings He had given to me that I didn’t notice. Now I thank Him for all my blessings, seen and unseen. Gratitude does really make what we have, enough.

This year and into the next, think of things you can do to help those that have less than you. Help at a food bank, or donate food to a food bank. Give clothing that is in good condition that you don’t or can’t wear any more to a clothing donation non profit, do service with your church or other organization to help others in need. There is always someone who has less than you who’s life you can bless. Helping, not only makes you feel good, but helps you to see all the things you have been blessed with. It brings gratitude for what we have and that brings peace. May you all have many blessings as you give and serve others. Wishing you all much love and a very Happy Thanksgiving day.

General Conference 10-4 and 10-5 2025

I love General Conference Weekend. General Conference is generally the 1st weekend in April and Oct every year. It’s listening to wonderful spiritual talks by our Prophet and Apostles and other leaders of our Church. We lost our Prophet at the age of 101 a few days ago and there will be a new Prophet called by the 12 Apostles soon, but the Lord’s work will continue. The peace and council they give us, helps ground us and remind us of how much our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ love us all. We are all brothers and sisters and knowing that helps in a sometimes chaotic world. We are here learning lessons of forgiving and serving others like our Savior did so that we can learn to be like him, not always an easy task, but necessary.

Hope you will join in listening to this General Conference at the link below and, if you miss any of talks and want to go back and listen they will be on the Church’s website at this same link https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org . Saturday they are central time 11am to 1pm and 3pm to 5pm, the same times tomorrow (Sunday.)

Praying for peace and comfort for everyone in this chaotic world where we should love one another and not hate, and for those in the wars and other conflicts around the world. Please join me in prayers of peace and comfort for our world.

Merry Christmas 2024

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will to men.
15 And it came to pass, the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. (St. Luke 2:8-16)
May you and your families have a very blessed Christmas Day.

On This Christmas Eve Day

The Savior’s birth was the beginning of giving us hope as he came as that babe in the stable to fulfill the plan to save us from sin in Gethsemane and on the Cross as the perfect lamb of God, and to give us eternal life when he rose from the dead. This is for anyone who thinks the Atonement wasn’t for them, IT WAS! And it started with his birth!!
