Happy Thanksgiving Day 2025!!

Remembering to be thankful everyday for the things we have brings peace into our lives, and as we express thanks to Our Father in Heaven, He helps us see other things He has blessed us with, things we didn’t notice. When I was young I complained because of the things I didn’t have, but I took a challenge to remember to thank my Father in Heaven every night when I said my prayers before bed, for the things I had. As I did this, I began to appreciate the things I had and as time went on that list grew as He showed me other blessings He had given to me that I didn’t notice. Now I thank Him for all my blessings, seen and unseen. Gratitude does really make what we have, enough.

This year and into the next, think of things you can do to help those that have less than you. Help at a food bank, or donate food to a food bank. Give clothing that is in good condition that you don’t or can’t wear any more to a clothing donation non profit, do service with your church or other organization to help others in need. There is always someone who has less than you who’s life you can bless. Helping, not only makes you feel good, but helps you to see all the things you have been blessed with. It brings gratitude for what we have and that brings peace. May you all have many blessings as you give and serve others. Wishing you all much love and a very Happy Thanksgiving day.

Halloween at the Farm, Alpaca spin Turned into Hat and New Hats for Warmth Start

This was the Halloween celebration at the farm this past Saturday :). The first two pictures are some of his decorations, then there are several pictures of the alpacas wearing costumes, lol, some of them had trouble leaving them on! You can see the male behind the fence with a bow tie and little Apollo also has a tie on, some of the females were wearing hats. Libby the llama said, nope! They will be decked out at Christmas too :).

The next to the last picture is some sport weight hand spun I turned into a hat for my friend that gave me the smaller wheel that I use at the farm during alpaca days to show spinning to the people who come out to enjoy the alpacas as a thank you. It’s a paid for pattern, Husband Request Hat on Ravelry. I changed it a little so I made it a little longer and knit 4 purl 2 so it’s a little more stretchy, but I wasn’t sure of his head measurements and I am not a fan of the hats that fit skin tight so I thought this was the best way to go. Hope it fits him :P.

The last picture is the new hat I’m working on with the Hats for Warmth project I work on for our local homeless shelter. This will be hat number 5 this year, one more after this and I will send them off to the shelter. I am using a #6 16″ circular needle and I Love This Yarn in the print color #red tweed. It’s not really a tweed, it’s a darker red with black speckles on it, LOL, but it is pretty. I am enjoying knitting it.

Happy Independence Day – 2025

Happy Birthday, ie: Independence Day, to the country that I love, the United States of America.  Long may our Flag wave!

Please continue to pray for Our Heavenly Father’s intervention for the protection of our Country as we work on fixing the things that have gone very wrong, that our freedoms may be preserved.

Memorial Day 2025

I give special reverence to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, for what they loved, their families and a free and safe country. May we honor them and always remember that freedom has a price, and keep this country free and safe in their honor for the families of all those who died to protect us all. Prayers said for their families.

Mother’s Day Gift

My daughter likes to give me living flowers for Mother’s Day. Last year it was the beautiful braided Hibiscus Tree, and this year it’s a beautiful aqua orchid. I’ve never seen one this color before, I love it!!! She also gave me a gift card :). Children are a blessing.

Veterans Day 2024

For our Military, who have given service and sacrificed for our freedom!

I would like to take a moment to thank all those veterans who fought in the various wars and “police actions” for our freedom.   Thank you for your service, and thank you to your families for allowing you to do that.

I would also like to thank my Dad, who was a Veteran of WWII and Vietnam. We lost him in 2020, miss you dad.

Happy Independence Day! 2024

Happy Birthday, ie: Independence Day, to the country that I love, the United States of America.  Long may our Flag wave!

It feels like the foundation of our Constitutional Republic is in danger, but my prayers are always that Our Father in Heaven will forgive us from falling away from him and protect our country from dangers of all kinds. Please join me with prayers of your own.

My Favorite Meme!

We celebrate on the 4th of July but the Declaration of Independence was actually signed on the 2nd and published on the 4th. So I thought I would take this date to put up my favorite meme!
