My Work In Progress is the Brick Work Baby Blanket by Gena Shaffer, a free pattern on Ravelry. It’s not one you can just knit without thinking a little bit, but it’s not hard, just gotta keep track of the rows. I figure I’m about 1/3 of the way done.
We are having a heat wave in June right now!! With the heat index today, we were about 92 and tomorrow they are saying with the heat index about 98. This is usually our late July/August weather. I’m not ready!!! But they are saying on Thursday we will be back in the 80’s and by the weekend in the mid 70’s, whew! I see many are having this problem, you all stay safe!!

That pattern is free on Ravelry :). It’s like the other one I knit, where row one is on the purl side. I was ready for that this time and didn’t have to rip it out several times before realizing I was not on the row I thought I was on, I was going on row 1 being the stockinet side not the purl side :P. Lesson learned!!!

I do a Prayer Shawl like the pattern, it ALWAYS takes me at least a 3rd of it to get the knit/purl combo right. Once I knit an entire shawl and then noticed about halfway through I had reversed the pattern!!!! I used to test software, so I took a page out of that book and called it a “feature” rather than a “bug” ❤

my internet has been off and on, the internet company just came and fixed it, sigh. Hope it lasts this time :P. I like that feature rather than a bug!

Love the pattern and the color of the blanket! Our fiery summer is finally at an end with regular spells of rain. Hope your weather is pleasant now.

Thank you, it’s a nice pattern to knit :). We are just starting our hot season and the humidity makes it so muggy in the heat. We have had a lot of storms, and some of the states a little west and east and south of us have been having tornados :(. Our weather has been unusual since winter began, warm and cold all winter and now hot and warm. There is a parking lot across the street and in the winter when they plow the snow into unused areas there are huge piles of snow. In the summer I pretend I can still see the piles of snow and wish some of it was there, LOL. We are never satisfied are we :P.
