The Loss of a Son…

It is with great sorrow that I acknowlege the loss of my son.  He leaves behind a daughter, Leena (who was his pride and joy), a sister, two brothers, grand parents, uncles, aunts, cousins and me.  He was preceded in death by his father in 2008 around this same time.

I miss you sweetie.

The loss of my son is devastating and he will be greatly missed.  How grateful I am for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice and the peace and hope it brings.

  2. I love you sis, and you know where I am. We are all still in shock. It is times like this that I am most thankful for Jesus because He is the only way we can manage thru the darkness. May He carry you thru this. Love you.

  3. Dear Vicky,
I remember when I lost my brother. I had only been a member of the Church for two years. A friend gave me the book “The Birth We Call Death” to read so that I could comprehend the transformation death brings into our lives. The quote I remember most was about the sea and its horizon. Our departing loved ones are as a sailing vessel on this ocean. As your dear son slips out of sight from our gaze into the horizon we observe, “There he goes.” But the ship is still there, we just can’t see it anymore. And on the other side of this same horizon
our Heavenly Father and all of your family and friends who have crossed on before exclaim, “Lo, he comes . . .!”

May Christ give you the strength and comfort you need as you walk through these difficult days ahead. I have prayed in some of my darkest hours to be encircled in the arms of His love, and I can testify to you that if you will ask for this, you will feel His
arms on your shoulder – letting you know that He is there.

I love you and will always cherish the friendship we have developed.
I hope that our family prayers can help sustain you, and lift you
up. I wish I could be there with you, and I miss you.
    Kim
